Not your average accountant.
Most accountants only ever see a business from the outside, through the file it hands over at year end. Vincent has worked the other two sides of that table as well.
He spent four years at RBC in commercial lending, deciding which businesses got credit and on what terms. He read the statements that owners and their accountants submitted, and learned first-hand which ones a lender trusts and which ones raise questions.
Since 2018 he has run a food manufacturing business, which means he has been the one approving payroll, defending a margin, and answering a bank's questions about his own numbers.
That combination is uncommon in a tax and compliance practice. Your return is still prepared correctly and filed on time. The difference is that the person preparing it has sat in your chair, and has also sat across the table from the lender who will read it.
Both sides of the table
- Four years assessing commercial credit at RBC
- Trained in public practice, own firm since 2014
- Running a food manufacturing business since 2018
- CPA, CA · CFA charterholder · MBA, Schulich
Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling.
Filing a return on time is the minimum. The value is in what happens in the eleven months before it, in the structure, the remuneration mix, and the timing of purchases and distributions.
If you only speak to your accountant once a year, you are finding out about decisions after the window to make them differently has closed.
Who this is for
- Owner-managed corporations across the GTA
- Professionals with a professional corporation
- Families with business and personal filings that interact
- Businesses that have outgrown a self-serve bookkeeping setup
